Renewaire Filters Package Content:
We often get asked questions about the replacement Renewaire filters for the residential units like the EV70, EV90, EV130, EV90P, EV200 and EV300. Renewaire Filters for these units come in (2) packages, a 3 pack (Part # 990447) and a 10 pack (Part # 990076). Each pack contains 2 filters, therefore the 3 pack contains 6 filters. However, depending on the unit model number, these filters must be cut to size.
Each filter pack contains a template to cut the filters to the correct size depending on the unit. For example, for the EV70 each filter must be cut into (3) separate filters, obtaining 6 filters per pack (2 filters / pack cut into 3 each). Each Renewaire unit has (2) filters, therefore you get 3 complete pair filter changes per pack for the EV70. This translates into (9) pair filter changes on the (3) pack and (30) pair filter changes on the (10) pack.
For the EV90 and EV130, each filter must be cut into (2) separate filters, obtaining 4 filters per pack (2 filters / pack cut into 2 each). This translates into (6) pair filter changes on the (3) pack and (20) pair filter changes on the (10) pack.
For the EV90P, EV200 and EV300, the filters don’t need to be cut. You use the complete filter as it comes in the packaging. This translates into (3) pair filter changes on the (3) pack and (10) pair filter changes on the (10) pack.
These original Renewaire Filters have one side that is orange. The orange side is a Merv 9 Dustlok Spor-AX Fiberbond. This side contains is sticky to capture the contaminants particles better than regular filters. This side is to face the Renewaire ERV core.
